AMD announces the Athlon 3000G processor, a powerful solution for office automation and multimedia for $ 49

Introduced the new Athlon 3000G processor, which has been developed by AMD for office automation and multimedia, costing only $ 49.

Not everyone has the same needs when it comes to computer equipment. We are very familiar with extremely powerful gaming machines, but there are many users who do not need them. With users looking for more browsing, office automation and work centers in mind, AMD launches the Athlon 3000G. This APU is a simple, low-power, good-performance solution to replace the Athlon 200GE.

The advent of Zen architecture has revolutionized the processor market. The company currently offers two ranges of desktop products. We have on the one hand Zen2 @ 7nm for the gaming market and Zen + @ 12nm for APUs. Being two very interesting solutions compared to an Intel alternative that is very expensive

Athlon 3000G, a simple processor for office automation and multimedia

This Athlon 3000G processor is shown as a low-end alternative with good performance. It has 2 cores and 4 threads of Zen + architecture processing @ 12nm. This processor works at a single frequency of 3.5GHz. It supports DDR4 @ 2933MHz RAM, integrates a Radeon Vega 3 @ 1 000MHz iGPU and has a TDP of 35W.

Something that has caught our attention about this Athlon 3000G processor is that it has overclocking capacity. With a good heatsink we could improve the working frequencies and therefore have an extra performance.
