AMD expects 15% CPI improvement on Zen3 architecture
An IPC increase of approximately 15% is expected on AMD's new Zen3 processors, thanks to 7nm EUV lithography (7nm +)
We have become accustomed, with great ease, to the fact that every year a new family of processors appears on the market. This trend has been in place for a long time and for practical purposes it does not make much sense, at least in the domestic sector. The average user will hardly take advantage of more than six cores (being optimistic). But following the line, AMD keeps giving Zen3 data, the architecture that will arrive next year.
This past week the SC2019 was held in the United States. This event focuses on Supercomputing, come on, servers, Data Centers, Artificial Intelligence and the like. Intel took the opportunity to present Ponte Vecchio, NVIDIA to show their chest about their solutions for AI and AMD has focused on talking about Zen3.

AMD's new family of processors will be based on 7nm EUV lithography (7nm +) an evolution of 7nm. This lithograph offers us an improvement in the density of transistors with an improvement in performance. A performance improvement, on the other hand, better than initially expected.
From the company they have indicated that the performance will be "in line with what one would expect from a completely new architecture." It refers to the comment on Zen2's jump from Zen. Zen2 offered a performance improvement of over 15% over Zen. Zen3 should offer roughly another 15% improvement in IPC over Zen2.
TSMC will be the one who will manufacture the processors based on the Zen3 architecture. The 7nm EUV lithography is expected to increase the density in Zen3 by 20%. This improvement could lead to an improvement in core frequency and thus meet the company's performance expectations.
Another possibility is that you choose to improve support in terms of AVX-512 instructions or offer a solution similar to Intel DLBoost. This last solution has been developed by Intel for Artificial Intelligence. Perhaps they bet on AI, a field that is in a brutal expansion and that moves billions.
