AMD is finalizing the launch of the AMD Ryzen 5 2500X, Ryzen 3 2300X and Ryzen 3 2100
Nine new AMD processors are leaked, of which three will be AMD Ryzen for desktops, three AMD Ryzen for laptops and another three Threadripper for professional teams.
Intel's timing is not the best in terms of the processor market, as stretching the gum from 14nm due to the problems and delays of 10nm, can be very expensive. AMD does not want to miss this opportunity and they will go for it, flooding the market with many solutions thinking of all types of users. The company would already have three new processors ready, the AMD Ryzen 5 2500X, Ryzen 3 2300X and the Ryzen 3 2100, which will compete with the mid-range and entry-level Intel.
The Ryzen 5 2500X stands out, which is the most interesting of this new wave of processors, which would have four cores and eight processing threads. This processor will have the ability to increase the frequency using the XFR 2.0. There is no data such as frequency and others, but in terms of price, it should be quite close to the Core i3, but its direct competitor will be the Core i5 8400, which is priced at € 160. The Ryzen 3 2300X and Ryzen 3 2100, should have four cores and four threads and would be intended for the entry range.
Along with these processors will come the Ryzen 3 2000U, the Ryzen 5 2600U and the Ryzen 7 2800U, three processors focused directly on the laptop market. Not much more is known about these processors, but the frequencies would be slightly cut, to improve consumption and nothing about XFR and other similar technologies.
Not only have they set their eyes on the gaming processor market, the company has also put work on at least three new processors aimed at enthusiasts and workstations for photo and video editing. For them I would be working on the Threadripper 2900X, Threadripper 2920X and Threadripper 2950X, of which we have no data, but they will be manufactured in 12nm, for sure.
