FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.2 is available at GPUOpen.com

AMD has announced that AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 2.2, the latest update to its advanced cross-platform scaling technology, is now available on GPUOpen.com. This gives developers access to the open-source API and source code, allowing any developer— from large studios to student projects— to implement it in their games .

AMD's FSR technology is designed to boost game frame rates and deliver incredible image quality without requiring a graphics card upgrade, allowing you to run even the most demanding games. FSR 2.2 builds upon FSR 2.1 with improved image upscaling, providing a superior solution for eliminating ghosting in fast-moving objects, a common problem for gamers, especially those with sensitive vision.

AMD continues to offer support for FSR

Widespread adoption of AMD FSR technology – including FSR 1 and FSR 2 has already reached 250 games that are either already available or coming in the future. AMD warns that there are still more games to come.

AMD will provide more information about its scaling solution soon. It will also provide new information on other technologies that allow developers to deliver new levels of performance and visual fidelity in the latest titles. It will be at the Game Developer Conference (GDC) this year, which will take place between March 20 and 24, 2023. During the GDC, AMD experts will cover a variety of topics including technologies such as AMD FidelityFX, Microsoft DirectStorage and AMD Radeon Developer Tool Suite, among others.

With all this, AMD offers developers the ability to offer better performance to those who own the latest RX Radeon series graphics cards. And for users, better performance is offered without having to update a graphics card, thus extending its useful life rather than having to look for a better model to play the latest games.
