AMD-Intel: Market share of processors in SPAIN in SEPTEMBER 2019 [EXCLUSIVE]

We bring you warm data on the sale of processors by Intel and AMD in Spain during the month of September 2019.

Last month we were quite delayed in processing data for the sale of processors in Spain. We have tried to be more agile this month and luckily, today we had already received all the data and we have processed it. Last August we saw how AMD managed to turn the market around and be the one that sold the most processors. Will the same happen this month?

It will still take a while to bring you the processor sales data in the third quarter and we will see if AMD has managed to turn it around. If we add July and August, the figures between both companies would be practically tables. So the month of September is the key to see who is ahead of who is for sale. Let's see who has sold more in September, Intel or AMD.

INTEL PROCESSORS IN SEPTEMBER 2019

Coffee Lake Refresh @ 14nm ++ is Intel's latest family of processors and at the moment, there are no signs of new processors. So the data differs little from last August. The best seller remains the i7-9700K with 18% market share, followed by the Core i9-9900K with more than 16% market share.

August closed as the i5-9600K as the third best-selling processor, but with a 12% share down to fourth place. The third place is taken by the i5-9400F with practically a 13% share. Much further we have the i9-9900KF with almost a 7% share, the i7-9700KF with a 5.4% share and the i3-9100F with a 5.2% share. The rest of the processors are below 5%, only the i7-8700 is close to 4.5%.

AMD PROCESSORS IN SEPTEMBER 2019

Interesting adjustment in the sale of AMD processors. The Ryzen 5 3600 continues to reign with a 28% share, falling slightly. The second place is occupied by the Ryzen 5 2600 with a 20% share. With the price drop a lot, this Zen + @ 12nm processor is selling without problems.

Third place is narrowly held by the Ryzen 7 3700X with almost 14% market share. It is closely followed by the Ryzen 9 3900X with almost 13.5% market share. The funny thing is that between these two processors is the Ryzen 7 3800X, which has just over 1% share. A processor that absolutely does not interest anyone.

Regarding APUs, only the Ryzen 3 2200G (Zen @ 14nm + Vega) passes 2% market share, the rest have quite residual sales. Despite the arrival of the Ryzen 3000G, the Ryzen 2000G are sold more, because they are at a better price and the improvements between both APUs are minimal.

AMD-INTEL MARKET SHARE IN SEPTEMBER 2019

We have that for the second month in a row AMD has managed to sell more processors than Intel. Specifically, the 55.58% share has been achieved by AMD, while Intel takes the 44.42% share. Both companies have increased in sales compared to August, but of course AMD's sales have increased.

A trend that should continue without problems. Although Intel releases processors, these will be in 14nm and should not be a big problem for AMD. The 10nm seems to have been delayed again and this shows that Intel has quite a few problems with this lithograph.

INTEL-AMD TOP SELLERS IN SEPTEMBER 2019 COMPARED

As a curiosity we have taken the four best sellers from Intel and the four best sellers from AMD and we have compared them. We see that except for the i7-9700K, the rest of Intel's high-end and advanced processors sell less than their AMD competitors. Above all evidence that practically two Ryzen 5 3600 are sold for each Core i7-9700K. Interpret the data yourself.

CONCLUSION

Intel, and the 10nm pa when?
