AMD finally talks about the manipulated benchmarks of the Intel Core i9 9900K from Principled Technologies

Finally AMD has decided to talk about the manipulation of the benchmarks of the Intel Core i9 9900K and the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X from Principled Technologies

For several days Intel has been the protagonist but (again) for the worse and is that during the presentation of the Coffee Lake Refresh headed by the Core i9 9900K benchmarks apparently manipulated by Principled Technologies were seen. The company rectified the data a few days later before the great stir generated. AMD after many days in silence (incomprehensibly) has shown his face and has spoken about the controversy.

AMD finally pronounces on the mess of the Intel benchmarks made by Principled Technologies (PT).

The first thing that has been highlighted is the failure they had in PT (intentionally or not) that they deactivated half of the cores of the Ryzen 7 2700X 'according to AMD's recommendations', in addition to questioning this from the company they have also questioned the configuration of RAM, heatsink used for testing or manual manipulation of Intel processor frequencies.

We don't know for sure what happened, since PT's explanations are quite strange and they have only published new benchmarks, this time without using cosmetics. The new benchmarks favor the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, which improves by up to 18%, but from the company they still complain that they have used some tricks so that the Ryzen was in a worse position.

It is impossible to say if PT acted under the influence of Intel or what was the reason that led to so many excesses. It seems difficult for Intel to authorize this, since it was discovered shortly after the data was given and otherwise with the appearance of the reviews, the manipulation would have been detected. Nor is it understood how AMD has waited for the reviews of the Intel Core i9 9900K processors to be public to publish a note about it. It's all so absurd.
