AMD could ask Samsung to produce part of its chips
It appears that AMD is studying Samsung to produce part of its chips because TSMC is unable to meet demand
Some time ago, a collaboration between AMD and Samsung was announced to bring the Navi architecture to the SoCs of the South Korean company. It seems that the relationship between the two companies is very good and could improve shortly. Because TSMC cannot meet the high demand for AMD chips, it could ask Samsung to make some Zen architecture chips or perhaps Navi.

Taiwanese company TSMC is currently unable to meet AMD's enormous demand. Due to Intel's stock issues and the strong performance of Ryzen processors, demand has skyrocketed. AMD even considered discontinuing the RX 5000 Series to alleviate the pressure, but this hasn't happened. TSMC is currently producing the SoCs for next-gen consoles, the Ryzen 3000, Ryzen 4000, Ryzen 5000, Ryzen 5000 Mobile , and the RX 6000 series.
The problem is that TSMC cannot meet the demand for chips under the 7nm node. The production of chips in this lithograph would go almost entirely to AMD, but it is insufficient. And it is that the shortage of Intel and NVIDIA chips drive sales of AMD solutions. What's more, NVIDIA has already turned to Samsung because TSMC could not meet the demand for chips it requested.
It is not the only factor by which AMD is thinking of taking part of the production to the South Korean Samsung. TSMC has recently raised wafer prices. Partly it is because of the strong demand they have and partly to increase the wages of their workers.
According to reports, AMD wants a production increase of 50%, something that TSMC is impossible to assume. So the only solution left is to ask Samsung to produce some of its chips. It is possible that AMD's mid-range GPUs and some Ryzen processors will go down to Samsung's 8nm node.
Beyond Samsung and TSMC, there is no foundry that meets AMD's needs. GlobalFoundries for a long time I gave up on increasing the density and have simply been polishing the developed nodes.
