AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 19.7.2 drivers released
AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 19.7.2 drivers have been released, adding support for Gears 5 and fixing a large number of bugs.
Last week it was revealed that the latest drivers from AMD affected performance in games. Now the company has released new drivers, specifically the Radeon Software Adrenalin 19.7.2 Beta. These new drivers provide optimization for the Gears 5 game. It also fixes blurry or pixelated texture issues in Star Wars: Battlefront II on the DirectX 11 API. Other issues are fixed.
We do not know if these drivers also correct the difference in performance of the Adrenalin 19.7.1. This affects mainly the AMD Polaris, because the drivers are already preparing for the RDNA graphics. The drop is between 5-20% in most games, always depending on the resolution and the graphic quality at which the game is running.
New graphics drivers released by AMD
The first point is that those users who use the ReLive application to stream will be able to share their content on Facebook. The flickering problem that was occurring in the AMD Radeon Overlay tool under DirectX 9 with the Radeon Image Sharpering Active technology has been corrected.
Flickering has also been fixed, in users using the Valve Index HMD when running SteamVR with the new AMD Radeon RX 5700 graphics.
Regarding other aspects, the problem of automatic adjustments of AMD Radeon WattMan not being applied in games has been corrected. Fixed the display of the maximum values instead of the increased values within the automatic adjustment results screen. The memory clock indicator is updated correctly.
Finally, a bug that prevented uninstalling the AMD Radeon drivers in hybrid graphics configurations has been corrected. The texture corruption issue in DOOM has also been fixed.
Everything seems to indicate that the loss of performance has not been touched, because they would already work for RDNA, leaving Polaris aside. You can download the drivers on the AMD website.
