ASUS RX 5700 custom models could be delayed until September
Apparently ASUS is delaying the launch of the custom AMD RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 until September, according to their blog.
The arrival of the new graphics cards AMD RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 it was highly anticipated. These new graphics based on Navi architecture and 7nm lithography. The main problem with these new graphics is their dissipation and places it behind the competition. Now it has been announced that the custom models of these graphs, would be delayed to September.
NVIDIA has made the leap to the dual fan heatsink, which offers a great result. This allows users to have a good graphics card for a lower price. No need to wait for custom models by different manufacturers. The delay now of the arrival of the customized models, supposes one more problem for AMD.
Custom AMD Navi Models Delayed
A few weeks ago MSI and ASRock already anticipated that these custom graphics would arrive in August. The information indicated that they would arrive in mid-August. It seems that custom models from Gigabyte, Sapphire, XFX or ASUS could be delayed until September. Although it is not confirmed, it does point to a delay.
We only see models with the assembler heatsink on the market. Brands put their logo or name on these models and add a 'nice' box. There are no improvements in terms of heat dissipation and much less in terms of frequencies.
ASUS on their blog has commented that they are working on custom models of the AMD RX 5700 XT and RX 5700. Near the end they leave a very revealing phrase: "stay tuned for more details in September." It seems clear that, at least ASUS, will not launch custom models.
They may be late, and the custom models of the RTX Super can already be found on the market. While there will be many users waiting, the delay could be quite lethal. At the moment there is no data on whether the delay is for everyone or only for ASUS. Much data is still missing.
