Prices for new AMD gaming graphics revealed, starting with the RX 5700 XT at $ 449 and the RX 5700 at $ 379
After announcing the performance , specifications, and final price of the AMD Radeon RX 5700, Lisa Su could have just walked off and urinated on stage, and that would have been less spectacular than what we'd seen before. The company reviewed the Ryzen 3000 Series, which will arrive on the market on July 7th, confirming the Ryzen 5. Then came the grand finale, demonstrating what Navi @ 7nm and RDNA are capable of . If we thought Intel had a major problem, NVIDIA certainly has no less of one right now with the RX 5700 XT and RX 5700.
AMD surprises with the prices of the RX 5700
I won't beat around the bush:
- RX 5700 XT - $ 449
- RX 5700 - $ 379
I think that with this it would not be necessary to add more, but we are going to add things. The company has surprised with two monstrous graphics at laughable prices. The RX 5700 XT arrives to compete with the RTX 2070 which is above € 500. The RX 5700 arrives to compete with the RTX 2060 that starts at € 350.
AMD graphics are about 5% more powerful than current NVIDIA RTX Turing. It should be noted that NVIDIA would soon present the RTX Super, new Turing graphics with more RTX and frequency. It would be the company's answer to the new Navi.
Navi promises a lot and it is still the first iteration of RDNA and it would not be until 2020 when we would see its full potential. According to some rumors these RX 5700 still have some GCN, which would prevent them from realizing their full potential.
We have only one doubt left and it refers to RayTracing. Nobody has mentioned this technology, which, in theory, will be present in Microsoft Project Scarlett and Sony PlayStation 5. It could be that this first iteration does not support this technology yet and it is Navi 2 that finally supports it.
How about the price and performance of the RX 5700 XT and RX 5700?
