A factory overclocked AMD RX 6000 Custom would hit 2.577MHz
The new AMD Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards promise to support frequencies well above 2.0GHz. This morning it was leaked that the RX 6900 XT would arrive in Gaming mode at 2.04GHz and in Boost mode at 2.3GHz. Well, from Igor'sLAB it is reported that a 'very special' RX 6000 graphics from an AMD partner could reach 2.577MHz with factory overclocking.
It has not been mentioned which assembler would launch an RX 6000 graphics at a frequency of 2.577MHz. The model has not been indicated either, they have simply indicated that it is a Navi 21 GPU. Igor emphasizes that the frequency is Boost, so it would not be the 'real' frequency of the graph.

An AMD RX 6000 hits 2.577MHz with factory overclocking
As indicated, the Boost frequency of 2.577MHz would be temporary, operating most of the time at the Gaming frequency, which would be 2.3GHz - 2.4GHz. What they have not revealed to us is the RX 6000 model or which is the assembler. It is clear that the demands on the heatsink will be maximum and a very powerful solution will be required.
This data comes from a BIOS that they have had access to in Igor'sLAB. The 'MorePowerTool' tool has been used to read the firmware, which allows reading the firmware data. The data would show that the structure of SoftPowerPlayTables would be the same or very similar to Navi1x.
Also, the tool indicates that the maximum allowed frequency in the GFX clock is 2.800MHz. We are talking about a very high frequency for a high-end graphics card. A frequency that is not manually adjustable, but could only be obtained with liquid nitrogen.
It seems that AMD is finally releasing graphics cards that are quite overclocking friendly. Interestingly, the NVIDIA Amperes are quite rough in overclocking and above 2.0GHz they tend to give problems.
