AMD RX 6700 XT could reach 2.950MHz by air
The newer AMD RDNA2 (RX 6000) graphics cards seem to handle overclocking quite well. We have seen that the graphics that are on the market can easily pass 2.5GHz. Well, it has been leaked that the RX 6700 XT will also support a lot of overclocking, reaching 2.950MHz. We are talking about a very high frequency that would have been achieved with an air heatsink.
It seems that RDNA2 architecture plus TSMC's 7nm manufacturing process go together very well. To date, no graphics from AMD has supported such an amount of overclocking with over-the-air coolers. What's more, the RDNAs (RX 5000) were pretty clunky when overclocked and barely allowed for.

Information has been leaked from a BIOS of a custom model by one of the manufacturers that work with AMD. It seems that the RX 6700 XT could reach up to 2.950MHz. Recall that RX 6800 XT models have been seen exceeding 2.800MHz, which is very good. Being an inferior model with a more adjusted consumption, it seems that it supports a greater amount of overclocking to the GPU.
The consumption of the reference RX 6700 XT could have a TDP that would be around 180-190W. On the other hand, the models customized by manufacturers could be around 200-220W of TDP. With overclocking and the Power Limit increased by 15%, the total consumption of the GPU could range between 240-260W.
We do not know who the assembler of this RX 6700 XT is, but there is quite an interesting piece of information in the BIOS data. It has a Dual BIOS system with a maximum fan speed of 2250RPM. There is a second fan profile that limits revolutions to 1750RPM with a maximum temperature of 95W.
Based on the rumors, the RX 6700 XT and RX 6700 could hit the market during the month of January. They are speculations, since with the saturation of TSMC in terms of manufacturing solutions for AMD they are remarkable.
