der8auer verifies that most Ryzen 3000s do not reach Boost frequency
Der8auer's study reveals that most AMD Ryzen 3000 processors do not reach the Boost frequency specified by the company.
AMD has recently been embroiled in a major controversy regarding its processor frequencies. The company has had to revise its specifications sheet for the AMD Ryzen 3000 series. Furthermore, a few days ago they launched a promotion claiming that the Ryzen Pro processors reached 5.0GHz, which Intel has mocked. Well, der8auer has investigated the frequency issue a bit further.
Obviously der8auer has an important community and has wanted to collect more data. He has asked all his followers to send him operating data on their Ryzen 3000 processors. The test was carried out in mononucleus on the advice of AMD under the Cinebench software. The objective is to know the maximum frequency of the processors without overclocking.

To prevent this from being chaos and the data from being invalid, the parameters were very strict for the study. Which has been done in collaboration with AMD, who also requested that the version of Windows 10 (the installed update) be specified. Der8auer has wisely ignored this parameter. It should be noted that if the Boost frequency is reached with a specific version of Windows 10, it should be indicated.
This study affects all AMD Ryzen 3000 released to date. The best ones to come out of the study are the Ryzen 5 3600 and the Ryzen 7 3700X, which hit maximum Boost frequency in most tests. The worst is the Ryzen 9 3900X, which only reaches the Boost frequency in 5.6% of cases. It stays in most cases between 25-100Hz below.
The issue isn't that the clock speeds fall short of 100Hz, 25Hz, or even 10Hz; the issue is that the processors don't meet AMD's specifications. This could lead to a class-action lawsuit against the company in the United States. It's worth noting that the lawsuit concerning the Bulldozer processor cores was recently settled.
AMD has not finished officially pronouncing it, but they have hinted that the lower frequencies are to protect the processor. Likewise, the company should know that it sells or that it stops selling, since it is not the first time.
NOTE: this entry does not question the quality of the Ryzen 3000, without AMD being prone to 'mislabeling' its products.
