The AMD Ryzen 3000 have only needed a week to be the kings of the market [EXCLUSIVE]

Report on the impact of the new AMD Ryzen 3000 processors on the market, which are starting to pay a bill to Intel, in just one week.

We wanted to know how processor sales are going since the arrival of the AMD Ryzen 3000. The data we have collected goes from July 7 to July 15. It is the first week of the new AMD Zen2, which are tasked with competing with Intel processors. We finished last quarter with Intel clearly dominating the market.

On July 7, the AMD Ryzen 3000 began to be marketed. These processors are based on the Zen2 @ 7nm architecture. We have the Ryzen 5 3600 and Ryzen 5 3600X for the mid-range. We also have the Ryzen 7 3700X and Ryzen 7 3800X for the high-end. Finally, we have the Ryzen 9 3900X for users who, in addition to gaming, want to do other tasks, such as streaming or editing.

INTEL PROCESSORS SALE. FROM JULY 7 TO 15, 2019

According to the data, one in four Intel processors is the Core i9 9900K. 20% of Intel's sold processors are the Core i5 9400F. We go to the Core i5 9600K, it represents just over 18% of sales. The Core i7-9700K accounts for almost 15%. We see that the rest of the processors have a quota of 5% or less, so they are residual sales.

SALE OF AMD PROCESSORS. FROM JULY 7 TO 15, 2019

Here comes the interesting. The first relevant data that I have to give you is that within the Ryzen 2000 they have a share of 28.7% of the sale of processors only from AMD. But the Ryzen 3000 have a 63% share of the AMD processor market. Clearly we see how the new Zen2 processors are selling to the beast.

But it is not the only relevant novelty. The Ryzen 5 2600, AMD's king of sales for the past few months has lost the crown. We see how the Ryzen 7 3700X is the best-selling processor with a 25.2% share. This means that 1 in 4 processors sold are this.

The Ryzen 5 2600 is second with a 20% share, closely followed by the Ryzen 5 2600 with a 17.4% market share. We have the Ryzen 9 3900X in fourth position with more than 15.5% market share. We see how the Ryzen 7 2800X and the Ryzen 5 360X barely sell. These two processors are totally in no man's land and this data confirms it.

As an interesting fact, we also see that the Ryzen 3000G APUs sell less than the Ryzen 2000G APUs. This is because these new APUs provide little performance improvement over the 2000G. As the Ryzen 2000G go down in price, they are selling a bit more.

INTEL-AMD MARKET SHARE. FROM JULY 7 TO 15, 2019

We can't say it's a surprise, but it is a surprise, right? AMD becomes the market leader with a 64% market share compared to Intel's 32% market share. It was clear that there would be a turnaround of the data and in these first days, it has happened. This has not happened since January of this year, coinciding with the great shortage of Intel processors.

INTEL-AMD MARKET SHARE PER FAMILY. FROM JULY 7 TO 15, 2019

Finally, we want to give a little review of the best-selling processors by family. Those with the least weight are Intel's Core 8000 Series with only a 3% share. Next we have Intel's Core 9000 Series with a 33% market share. The Ryzen 2000s have a 20% market share. Finally, the Ryzen 3000 have a 44% market share.

For this graph, the Ryzen 2000G and Ryzen 3000G APUs have not been taken into account. The Intel Pentium G4560 have not been taken into account either.
