AMD Ryzen 4000 will be compatible with motherboards with the B450 chipset
Something quite characteristic of AMD Ryzen processors is that they can be installed on different versions of motherboards with an AM4 socket. Simply update the BIOS to add compatibility and voila. Thanks to Schenker (SMG), makers of notebooks and barebones Clevo, has said that the B450 chipset will support the desktop Ryzen 400. A really very interesting piece of information for users.
A few days ago Schenker announced the XMG APEX 15 laptop which is based on the Ryzen 9 3900X. This manufacturer has been ahead of everyone to indicate the compatibility of the B450 motherboards with the next Ryzen. The desktop Ryzen 4000 does not have a date of arrival on the market yet (Note: not to be confused with the Ryzen 4000U and 4000H for laptops)

Ryzen 4000 will be compatible with B450 motherboards
The AMD Ryzen 4000 processors will be based on the improved 7nm lithography and Zen3 architecture. Predictably they will be the last processors to have support for socket AM4, then there will be a socket change. The Ryzen 5000 should be launched in 5nm lithography and will arrive with a new socket.
As has happened to date, to install one of these processors on a B450 motherboard, we must update the BIOS. Possibly the motherboard manufacturers in the coming months will launch the BIOS with compatibility for the next Ryzen 4000. An interesting information also for those who have an XMG laptop that allows changing the processor by the type of socket.
Very old or single chipset motherboards may not be supported. Those who have X470 and X570 chipsets should have no problem updating to these new Ryzen 4000. Note that these AMD processors are not a great performance update, possibly they are more adjusted in frequencies and working voltages. Remember that as soon as they will arrive in September, because of all this coronavirus.

And what do we know about X370 and B350 support?
Too old, will be compatible from 4xx
Very good news, learn intel ...
If I buy an aio heatsink [Gigabyte Aorus Liquid Cooler 240] for the 2700 that I have in use now, will this also work for the future 4000 series? I have the doubt, since when I ask the reseller directly, he responds that it is not and will not be compatible and says that it is not compatible with the new generation of Intel, the 10xxx, something that the manufacturer's page completely contradicts, since in fact the The same manufacturer [aorus] states that the temperature tests for said heatsink have been done with this latest version of the processor. I hope you can help me, since I don't want to spend $ 250 USD on something that will only serve me for a few months
PS: I live in Mexico and the prices here are very high.
Let's see, in theory, as long as the socket is AM4, it will be compatible without problems. In the case of Intel processors, surely include the anchors, check well that all the cooling anchors are present, the bags are usually identified with the socket or the processor manufacturer.
Verify that all the pieces are there.
ok friend, thanks for your answer, but I'm going to go for a DeepCool Castle RGB 240 V2 (https://www.amazon.com.mx/gp/product/B07RRRXBGR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) it even has support for ThreadRipper, so I don't think it has any kind of problem, besides of course having support for the socket I'm using
