AMD confirms Ryzen 7 5700 CPU without integrated graphics

Although AMD has the Ryzen 7000 series of CPUs, understand that not everyone can go directly to the new AM5 platform. Not everyone wants to improve their PC so much how to buy a new motherboard and DDR5 ram memory, and sometimes you just want a slightly better processor. Thus, they have not yet abandoned the AM4 platform and they seek to release both new models of Ryzen 5000X3D, and the recently announced Ryzen 7 5700 processor.

The first references to the AMD Ryzen 7 5700 appeared earlier this year. They had listed among the characteristics that it would have 8 cores and trimmed specifications compared to the Ryzen 7 5700X.

AMD launches a new Ryzen 7 5700 processor for those who have not yet switched to AM5

The recently announced AMD Ryzen 7 5700 is part of the "Cezanne«, which includes the APUs. It has 8 cores, 16 threads, 16 MB L3 cache and a TDP between 45 and 54 watts. It has a base clock speed of 3,7 GHz and a boost clock speed of 4,6 GHz. Thus, its base frequency is higher than the 5700X but lower than the 5700G, while all three have the same 5,7 GHz boost clock.

Although this model falls within the APU family, integrated graphics are disabled. This is because it is based on the 5700G matrices that were rejected before being sold to retailers. In its favor, the CPU supports overclocking and It is compatible with all motherboards with AM4 socket.

Its compatibility with RAM memory in DDR4 format is up to 3200 MT/s frequency. It will be marketed as a solution for the DIY market and will be supplied with a AMD Wraith Stealth heatsink in box. As you can see, it is for the segment of lagging users, or those who, for budget reasons, are not going to go for a Ryzen 7000 CPU due to the derived costs, so we can recommend it for gaming setups that do not want to go to the level of enthusiast and we know they are going to have a dedicated graphics card.
