A benchmark of a 16-core Ryzen appears that surpasses the Intel Core i9-9980XE

A benchmark of a 16-core AMD Ryzen appears with unknown frequencies that easily surpasses the Intel Core i9-9980XE.

The arrival of the new Ryzen 3000 processors is getting closer. These promising processors are based on Zen 2 at 7nm. So far, the Ryzen 5, Ryzen 7, and Ryzen 9 have been confirmed. Although AMD hasn't officially announced them, the Ryzen 3 3200G and Ryzen 5 3400G APUs are expected to launch. Several benchmarks of the 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X have even been leaked.

It seems that a benchmark has appeared from this latest processor. A benchmark has been leaked, supposedly from the Ryzen 9 3950X, although the frequencies do not match. The Ryzen 5 2950X would work at a base frequency of 3.5GHz, while this new processor worked at 3.3GHz. In addition, this new processor reaches a frequency of 5.2GHz, while the Ryzen 9 3950X reaches 4.7GHz.

To our knowledge, the Ryzen 9 3950X will be AMD's most powerful mainstream processor. So there would be no processor on top of this. This 16-core, 32-thread processor works at a base frequency of 3.5 GHz and reaches 4.7 GHz in Boost mode. So what's this new leaked processor?

The motherboard used is the MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE, therefore it is ruled out that it is a Threadripper. There is a possibility that it is the AMD Ryzen 9 3950 without the 'X'. The base frequency of 3.3GHz would indicate this parameter and the 5.2GHz reached would be with overclocking. Either that or it's an overclocked engineering model, to see what it's capable of.

But something interesting about this processor is the comparison with Intel's Core i9-9980XE. Even though the processor has 18 cores and 36 threads, the AMD Ryzen processor outperforms it. It not only outperforms you in multicore, but also in mononucleus, something truly impressive.
