AMD announces the Ryzen Embedded 7000 for embedded systems
AMD has just announced the new series of Ryzen Embedded 7000 Series processors at Smart Production Solutions 2023, an event aimed at industrial markets. These CPUs work with Zen 4 core architecture and incorporate integrated RDNA 2 graphics.
Five new reference models have been announced, in configurations ranging from 12 cores and 24 threads to 6 cores and 12 threads. Three of those models have a TDP of 65W and the other two overclockable X-series models have a higher TDP of 105W.

AMD's Ryzen 7000 Embedded series has been designed for industrial applications such as automotive, cutting-edge robotics and IoT. By having integrated RDNA 2 graphics, it will not be necessary to have a configuration with an additional GPU. They are compatible with several operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux/Ubuntu, as well as Windows 10 and 11.

AMD has chosen to launch two overclockable variants of the 7700 GHz) and the Ryzen Embedded 8X (16 cores and 32 threads). The Ryzen Embedded 3X has a base frequency of 4,5 GHz, turbo frequency of 5,4 GHz, 7600 MB L6 cache. The Ryzen Embedded 12 model has 7600 Zen 4,7 cores, with a 5,3 MB L32 cache, and a base clock speed of 3 GHz, with a turbo speed of 7945 GHz at 16 W.
For its part, the Ryzen Embedded 7745 is made up of 8 cores and 16 threads, with a base frequency of 3,8 GHz and a turbo of 5,3 GHz, with 32 MB of L3 cache, at a TDP of 65 W. The Ryzen Embedded model 7645 is presented as the basic model of the Ryzen 7000 Embedded series, with 6 Zen 4 cores and a base frequency of 3,8 GHz, with a turbo of up to 5,1 GHz.
These models will come on X670 and B650 motherboards with the conventional AM5 socket. Support is included for a board with socket X600, which provides the processor's full 28 PCIe 5.0 lanes. Combining one of the Ryzen Embedded 7000 series processors with an X670 motherboard will provide up to 24 PCIe 5.0 lanes and 12 PCIe 4.0 lanes for devices such as PCIe slots, M.2 storage and other types of connectivity.
For now, AMD has not given retail prices. But as they are e-beverage solutions, they are expected to be at the discretion of ODM and OEM manufacturers, who could start distributing Ryzen Embedded 7000 products right now.
