AMD Ryzen Matisse, the processors that want to dethrone Intel in the gaming market

AMD Ryzen Matisse processors could be presented at CES 2019 and would arrive with many cores and frequency thanks to the 7nm lithography.

It seems that AMD will put all the meat on the spit in the processor division at CES 2019. The AMD Ryzen 9 3800X will be a 16-core, 32-thread beast. Just with this processor will arrive two Ryzen 7, two Ryzen 5 and two Ryzen 3. All these processors will arrive based on the 7nm lithography, which gives them more efficiency than previous generations.

AMD Ryzen 3000 Series aiming to destroy Intel

We start with the Ryzen 7. AMD will launch the Ryzen 7 3700X with 12 cores and 24 threads, working at a frequency of 4.2GHz and that in Boost mode can reach 5.0GHz with a TDP of 105W. We will also have the Ryzen 7 3700 with the same number of cores and threads, but it will work at 3.8GHz and can reach 4.6GHz with a TDP of 105W.

For the mid-range we will have the Ryzen 5 3600X that will have 8 cores and 16 threads with a base frequency of 4.0Ghz and can reach 4.8GHz in Boost mode with a TDP of 95W. We also have the Ryzen 5 3600 that has the same number of cores and threads, but that will work at a base frequency of 3.6GHz and in Boost mode it will reach 4.4GHz with also a TDP of 95W.

Finally for the entry range we have the Ryzen 3. The most powerful will be the Ryzen 3 3300X with 6 cores and 12 processing threads working at a base frequency of 3.5GHz and can reach 4.3GHz in Boost mode with a TDP of 65W . We also have a somewhat simpler version with the Ryzen 3 3300 that shares the number of cores and threads, but that will operate at a base frequency of 3.2GHz and in Boost mode it will reach 4.0GHz with a TDP of 50W.

These processors are a reality after E-Katalog has put them on its website for sale. They have not specified prices, but the price of these processors does not matter completely. Even if the Ryzen 3 3300 cost €150 and the Ryzen 9 3800X cost €700 (the others priced in the middle) AMD would destroy Intel.

AMD knows that the planets have aligned and has everything to win in the processor segment. Intel is having trouble meeting demand and 10nm is not yet available. The perfect storm has been generated where the AMD Ryzen can be crowned as kings of the mainstream market and cut significantly the market share of Intel.
