AMD Ryzen Threadripper third generation would arrive later this year

Possibly by the end of the year we will see the third generation AMD Ryzen Threadripper that are based on the Zen 2 architecture of 7nm lithography.

AMD's Zen architecture for AMD Ryzen processors has been a complete success. After years of pilgrimage in the desert, they have succeeded in nailing this architecture of modular processors. This year, the Ryzen 3000 Series should arrive, along with other Zen 2-based processors. These processors are based on TSMC's 6nm lithography. After the third generation Ryzen this year will come the third generation Threadripper destined for the professional segment.

AMD could launch the Threadripper after the Ryzen 3000

During a conference with investors, the company's Roadmap for 2019 confirms the presence of the second generation Ryzen Pro Mobile, which will arrive this next spring. The third generation AMD Ryzen have been confirmed (in case there was any doubt) that they will arrive in the middle of the year. Additionally, the third generation of Threadripper that would arrive towards the end of the year is confirmed.

That these third generation Threadripper processors arrive this year 2019, is something very interesting. They are expected to arrive rather during the fourth quarter, although there is also talk of the third quarter. They would hit the market almost a year after the second-generation Threadripper arrived.

The third generation of AMD Ryzen processors will be based on the Zen architecture and 7nm lithography from TSMC. Additionally, it will also be the basis of the second generation AMD EPYC, since EPYC Zen + does not exist. We must remember that these are based on the Chiplet design, which separates the Northbridge from I / O and which is based on 14nm lithography.
