AMD will continue to manufacture the reference models of the RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT

It appears that AMD will continue to manufacture the reference model of the RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT, even if custom models are released by the assemblers.

This week French media CowCotLand reported that AMD had finished manufacturing the benchmark RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT. The reference solutions are characterized by having a rather bad heatsink that causes high temperatures. RDNA-based Navi is a great solution, but not with these blower-type heatsinks. But apparently the company will not stop making models with blower type heatsink, for now.

The models from manufacturers working with AMD are expected to arrive next week. The ASUS model will feature a large heatsink and will exceed 2000MHz. Other models will opt for dual-fan systems, such as the XFX THICC2 and the MSI EVOKE . These are undoubtedly a better option than AMD's reference models.

AMD will not stop manufacturing the reference models of its Navi

As NVIDIA does, assembler models are delayed one to two months from the release of the reference model. Just over a month ago the AMD RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT were released, which are interesting graphics. Now the assembler models will arrive, full of little lights that rather contribute little.

The only downside to the RX 5700 Series is the heatsink. The blower type heatsink has been found to be pretty bad and causes the graphics to get very hot. AMD has pushed the Navi to the limit with this type of heatsink. Perhaps betting on using a more robust solution, as NVIDIA has done, would have been the idea.

Perhaps the interesting thing is that the user can choose the graph that interests him the most. AMD will continue to manufacture the reference models, which will surely continue to sell well.
