ASRock has four motherboards ready with the AMD B450 chipset for the AMD Ryzen 2000 Series

Leaked ASRock has at least four motherboards with AMD B450 chipset ready, for AMD Ryzen 2000 Series processors and the features that this chipset implements.

A few months ago, the AMD Ryzen 2000 Series processors were launched, processors that improve performance compared to the previous generation, thanks to the 12nm lithography, which allows to improve the frequency and has reduced the latency of the memories, among others improvements. The AMD X470, a high-performance chipset, has been released for these processors, but ASRock has revealed that they plan to launch new motherboards with this mid-range chipset shortly.

The ASRock B450 Fatal1ty Gaming K4, B450 Fatal1ty Gaming-ITX / ac, B450M Pro 4 and B450 Pro4 have been introduced. No images of these motherboards have been shown, but it is expected that they will not differ much in design from the current B350. It has clearly been thought of all types of user, hence the appearance of two compact format models, such as the Gaming-ITX / ac and the B450M Pro4, which aims, the latter to be more compact in size.

The two main features of the B450, is the implementation and native support of XFR2, which can also be supported by older chipsets, but also has Precision Boost Overdrive, which is not supported by first-generation AMD Ryzen chipsets. In addition, these new chipsets add the Precision Boost 2.0 function, which offers the option of achieving more precise and more stable frequencies.

These motherboards are on a mission to deliver high-end, mid-range features at a more affordable price. The B450s also offer full support for overclocking, although of course, this will be somewhat more restrained, because it may be more limited by the power phases of the motherboard.
