Assassin's Creed Valhalla fails to hit 4K @ 60FPS with the NVIDIA RTX 3090
It is quite frustrating that we fans of PC video games have to eat ported console games without being optimized. It is not the first time that a game arrives for PC with a performance, at least, poor. The latest is Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which hits the market on November 10 and performs very poorly with an NVIDIA RTX 3090.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is unable to reach 60FPS in 4K resolution with the NVIDIA RTX 3090 graphics. It seems more than evident that Ubisoft has released the game to the market without optimizing it the least. Apparently they have taken the console version, have imported it to PC and sell copies.

NVIDIA RTX 3090 can't handle Assassin's Creed Valhalla
Through the YouTube channel GameGPU we have the first Assassin's Creed Valhalla benchmark. The game runs in 4K resolution with Ultra graphic quality. Regarding the hardware, an NVIDIA RTX 3090 graphics card and the Intel Core i9-10900K processor have been used.
The game mostly runs at 56FPS resolution, falling far short of the 60FPS target. There are very few times that the game manages to reach 60FPS or exceed them. For much of the time the game is below the 60FPS rate, preventing good fluidity. When large landscapes have to be loaded, the performance drops even below 40FPS.
The new installment of Assassin's Creed is a multiplatform title and has not been considered a 'next-gen' title. The poor performance of the game is due to a disastrous optimization by Ubisoft. Curiously, the game Assassin's Creed Valhalla will work in 4K @ 60FPS on the Xbox Series X, although we do not know if it will be native resolution or with rescaling.
That it works so bad is a NVIDIA RTX 3090 graphic is not at all normal and much less logical. Work better on the console than with the most powerful graphics (at least for now) on the market, it doesn't seem normal. Is it poorly optimized or has Ubisoft limited the performance of the game on PC in favor of console?

Ubisoft has the worst optimized games on the market, by far, and let's not mention the bugs ...
Just as the performance of Watch Dogs: Legion seemed an insult to PC gamers, in this case with the Valhalla I have found a poor but acceptable performance, in fact, I do better than the Odyssey.
In my case at 2k with an RTX 2070 in custom high presets (texture scaling at 100% and volumetric clouds at low) it stabilizes me at 60 FPS 90% of the time although sometimes when turning the camera they drop to 50 FPS.
Personally, I do not encourage anyone to buy either of the two games today, but to get hold of the Uplay subscription at € 15 and test them with the hardware we have to draw conclusions.
