ASUS has unveiled three variants of its new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card . The new ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3050, ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3050, and ASUS Phoenix GeForce RTX 3050 all feature 8GB of VRAM and efficient cooling.
The GeForce RTX 3050 is the first 50-class desktop GPU to support the latest ray-traced games at over 60 fps. It features 2nd-generation RT Cores for ray tracing and 3rd-generation Tensor Cores for DLSS and AI.
ASUS launches three new versions of the 3050
The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3050 8GB is based on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture and offers powerful gaming performance, low temperatures, and ultra-quiet noise levels. Its aggressively styled shroud contains a robust 2,7-slot heatsink, which increases heat transfer to the heat pipes and fin block above it. The bottom plate also covers the GDDR6 memory modules to keep them running at optimal temperatures.
Three Axial-Tech fans provide cooling airflow through the fin block, allowing the GPU to maintain its performance during a gaming session. The vented backplate aids the cooling process by more easily directing hot air from the heatsink into the case's natural airflow, and a pair of FanConnect II headers allow users to use the case fans to control the GPU and maintain cooling performance.
The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3050 8GB's triple-fan cooling solution offers great cooling performance in its class, but microATX or Mini-ITX might not be big enough to house it. In these cases, the ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3050 8GB and ASUS Phoenix GeForce RTX 3050 8GB fit into slim and compact cases.
Despite all this information, ASUS has not confirmed recommended retail prices for these graphics cards.
