ASUS advises that the stock of AMD RX 6800 XT will be very limited

For weeks there have been quite a few complaints from users about not being able to get hold of an NVIDIA RTX 3000 graphics card. The launch was a disaster, with bots buying the few units available and then for sale on eBay at absurd prices. It seems that the problems now come to the side of AMD, who would not have enough stock of RX 6800 XT to meet the demand, according to ASUS.

After the release of the AMD Ryzen 5000, we have seen how the stock has flown off the shelves. Even some processors are on resale at really surreal prices. It seems that the measures demanded by AMD for the launch of processors and graphics have been of no use.

ASUS advises, AMD RX 6800 XT stock is very limited

The problem with the existence of such a limited stock is that TSMC does not have more production capacity. It seems that the 7nm and 7nm + lines are at full capacity and still, it is not produced at the desired rate. So NVIDIA's disastrous launch will now be repeated with the AMD RX 6800 XT.

Who has given the warning voice has been David Hammer, ASUS representative for the Nordic countries. It has already indicated that the stock of AMD RX 6800 XT will be very limited at launch. You have indicated that the charts will be sold in a matter of minutes. It has also revealed that models customized by assemblers will take between one and two weeks to launch after the launch of the reference models. Despite this, the problems will continue to be present, since demand will be much higher than supply.

Buying a RX 6800 XT will be very difficult

[Stock] It will be quite limited: more Radeon RX 6800, less Radeon RX 6800 XT ... as with basically all graphics cards now, we expect everything to disappear in a few minutes, so we have to hang the all sold sign.

So it will take 1-2 weeks for us to start delivering custom designed cards, too early to tell what stock will look like when the time comes, but demand will likely continue to be higher.

It should be pretty hard to get a new card to be cool. To be honest, it is quite unexpected that Lisa Su would dare to bet on this release date. I think it should only start to increase in December.

In fact, the production capacity has always been sufficient, but how much of this production capacity can depend on the next-generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft, that becomes a problem.
