Ryzen 5 4400G is seen under 3DMark 11 benchmark software
It appears AMD is all set to launch its upcoming Ryzen 4000 APUs. These new APUs will be based on the Zen 2 architecture at 7nm and will feature more cores and higher clock speeds, at the expense of a smaller integrated GPU. The number of Stream Processors in the new APUs will be reduced to minimize TDP. The latest APU to be revealed is the AMD Ryzen 5 4400G.
All APUs to date have been based on Vega architecture integrated graphics, which is very limited. These APUs at the graphical level have not evolved, being more interesting by number of cores than anything else. AMD should consider starting to integrate RDNA-based graphics and ending with Vega now.

Specifically, this Ryzen 5 4400G APU has 6 cores and 12 processing threads. This APU has a base frequency of 3.7GHz and in Boost mode it reaches 4.3GHz, which is not bad at all. It is complemented by an unspecified Vega architecture iGPU running at 1.900MHz. The TDP has not been revealed either, but it should have a 65W TDP. The motherboard on which it was mounted is unknown, but it was accompanied with only an 4GB @ 8MHz DDR3200 module.
Under 3DMark 11 this Ryzen 5 4400G has obtained a score of 10.241 points for the processor. In the graphic section it has obtained a score of 4.395 points, a discrete mark. More or less, it is the result that we would get with an NVIDIA GTX 1050 graphics. Keep in mind that the APUs are designed for 1080p gaming in medium graphics for undemanding games.
It becomes clear that this Ryzen 5 4400G APU is nothing more than a Ryzen 5 3600X to which they have added an iGPU and adjusted the frequencies. While iGPUs would already need a jump, they are undoubtedly infinitely improvements than those that Intel integrates in its processors.
