3D Mark compares the Intel Arc A350M to the GTX 1650

A few days ago, Intel d'iço concrete details about the first Arc GPUs for laptops, which are now available for purchase. As such, they are already finished and it was only a matter of time before someone put them to the test and drew comparisons with other models to see how Intel's first foray into the graphics card market had turned out.

One user has already tested the entry-level A350M in the 3DMark Firestrike and Time Spy benchmarks. Based on benchmark results, Intel's new mobile GPU seems to be on par with the Nvidia GTX 1650 Max-Q, which coincide with some of the first rumors about its performance.

Intel A350M reaches the level of the GTX 1650 with its laptop GPUs in a benchmark

The results were shared by @harukaze5719, who stated that the system that included the Intel GPU was a Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro equipped with an Intel Core i7-1260P. The leaker posted images of two 3DMark Firestrike scores and two others with Time Spy scores. these scores allow us to compare default and performance modes.

In default mode, the Intel A350M scored 6.876 points in Firestrike. This result increased to 7.318 points in performance mode. As for Time Spy, the GPU scored 2.441 points in default mode and 3.147 points in performance mode.

Compared to other entry-level graphics cards for laptops, according to the Notebookcheck portal, looks like the GTX 1650 Max-Q from Nvidia. In Firestrike, the Intel laptop GPU is 6% slower. However, the roles are reversed in Time Spy, and Intel's GPU comes out ahead by 6%.

To put in context how the Intel A350M for mobiles are compared by benchmark with the GTX 1650, that same model is slightly below the minimum requirements it asks for Elden Ring, but is still able to move it with some graphical issues. This model has been very popular during the current supply shortage because it's a pretty efficient option if your graphics card is really outdated. It's clear that Intel's first foray into graphics is far from top performance, but it is capable of running almost all modern games even with the graphic aspect to a minimum in the case of the most demanding games. And that we are talking about the lowest range, since from June the graphics of the highest ranges will arrive.
