Bob Swan, CEO of Intel says we should stop looking at the benchmarks and see the benefits and impact

Intel's 10th Gen processor benchmarks do the company no favors. They are clearly outperformed by AMD Ryzen 3000 processors in both benchmarks and price/performance. Bob Swan, Intel's CEO, stated during a YouTube live stream at Computex 2020 that we should stop focusing on benchmarks and start looking at the benefits and impact.

During this direct, Swan has highlighted that the Tiger Lake processors will reach the market in a few months. These laptop processors seem no match for the Ryzen 3000U / H. He has also praised the Taiwanese fair and its importance within the global technology space. Come on, it has been somewhat bland and insipid.

Intel says we should stop watching the benchmarks

Swan said during the conference that: "Later this year we will introduce Tiger Lake and consolidate our position as the undisputed leader in mobile computing and PC innovation." But the reality is that its market position is being weakened by constant innovation from AMD. The company has even recognized that using the Ryzen's MCM technology could save a lot of costs.

We should see this moment as an opportunity to shift our focus from the benchmarks industry to the benefits and impacts of the technology we create. The pandemic has highlighted the need for technology to be built with a purpose so that it can meet these changing needs of businesses and consumers.

And this requires a customer-obsessed mindset to stay close, anticipate those needs, and develop solutions. In this mindset, the goal is to ensure that we are optimizing for stronger impact that supports and accelerates positive benefits for businesses and society around the world.

The reality is that Intel processors are more consuming, more expensive, and hardly improve on performance than competing solutions. Consumption for laptops is crucial, as it affects autonomy. Come on, it is clear that Intel is not going through a good time in the processor market.
