First NVIDIA RTX 3070 benchmarks in Ashes of the Singularity
A few weeks ago, NVIDIA announced the delay of the RTX 3070 launch for unknown reasons. Rumors suggest the delay is due to an effort to increase stock availability for the card's release. Now, we're seeing the first benchmarks of the NVIDIA RTX 3070 under Ashes of the Singularity (AotS), at both 1080p and 4K resolutions.
The Ashes of the Singularity game is one of the most demanding on a graphical level and that is why it is one of the best points to see the performance. The results of this NVIDIA RTX 3070 are very interesting and it seems that it will offer excellent performance. Note that the problem with the RTX 3070 is that it is limited to 8GB GDDR6 and that would be a problem.

The RTX 3070 under the AotS in 1080p resolution with the DirectX 12 API and Crazy graphics quality has marked 94FPS. With the same parameters the RTX 3080 offers 106FPS, with a difference of practically 13%. Under the custom 2560 × 1080 resolution a rate of 89FPS has been obtained and the RTX 3080 offers 103FPS, with a performance difference of 16%.
Where we see the biggest difference is under 4K resolution, where the RTX 3080 has a lot of advantage by having a greater amount of VRAM. The RTX 3070 has marked 74FPS and the RTX 3080 marks 89FPS, with a difference of just over 20%. Some performance differences that fall within the expected parameters.
With this data, the RTX 3070 are better than the RTX 2080 Ti at 1080p resolutions, but slightly lower in performance than the RTX 2080 Ti at 4K resolutions. Keep in mind that the price of the RTX 3070 is much lower than that of the RTX 2080 Ti, which is impressive.
