BenQ presents in Spain its Jamboard, the digital whiteboard integrated in G Suite
BenQ has unveiled Jamboard, its commitment to the interactive whiteboard from Google. The product is designed for meeting salaries, with functions designed for professional productivity.
BenQ has reminded us that they have a line of products designed for professional environments, not just monitors designed for gaming. This time, with the help of Google and G Suite (Google's business services) we find the arrival of the Jamboard in Spain, although the application has been published for a couple of years, but finally we have hardware that support this version of interactive whiteboard.
BenQ is directly responsible for manufacturing the board and providing support in Spain. This 55-inch whiteboard with a 4k screen that looks quite high-quality offers us a space to brainstorm collaborative ideas, as well as being a good tool for presentations and we can say with enough security that it will be the envy of many meeting rooms, already whether owned by companies or rented, as in the presentation we attended to test it in a Sheltair space that they rent for hours, days or more.
The smart handheld whiteboard from BenQ and Google
You can't talk much more about the blackboard itself. It includes a built-in camera for lecturing on Google Meet (the professional version of Hangouts) and can detect 10 pressure points, either with our hands or with pencils.

Mostly it is a screen with the JamBoard system and with Google Cast, so we can use it as a screen if we send our laptop if we are more comfortable. It is also very resistant because we could see how it was hit with enough force to break a normal screen and we did not see a dead pixel, ensuring its resistance.
There are many features on the Jamboard software, but mostly it allows us to illustrate collaboratively. The easiest way to define it is a Google Drive document where several people can collaborate, either from the Jamboard or from mobile phones, tablets or computers and they do not have to be all in the same room, they can be anywhere in the world. The idea is that it works for conference rooms, so it is not known too much about the service but it is highly recommended for professional environments.
In Jamboard we can draw directly or use the autocompletion of images in which we doodle something and Google offers us a series of predefined drawings that will be better than what many of us draw. We can also make all kinds of annotations, multiple screens and even attach files from Google Drive. In addition, a video of the changes is recorded to see the progress and integrates with Google Meet and Google Calendar.
Jamboard is a nice addition to a meeting room
The price including VAT is € 6100 And it includes the floor stand and an on-site warranty whereby if we have a problem, BenQ will instantly replace the Jamboard and configure it for us.
After testing it, we can affirm that it is not that it will be essential, since we still do not have the urgent need to have a meeting room, but if we had one, it would undoubtedly pressure to invest in one of them.
As it is for professional environments, you cannot buy it in normal computer stores, but you have to go directly to the distributor in Spain or to the BenQ website to get one, in addition to providing information about our contracted G Suite. It will also be available in rental conference rooms such as those offered by Sheltair, who have made possible the presentation of one of its salaries for rent in Madrid.
