BIOSTAR announces its new TZ590-BTC mining motherboard

BIOSTAR today unveiled the new TZ590-BTC motherboard, which, as its name suggests, is designed for cryptocurrency mining. The board is built on the Intel Z590 chipset , capable of running 10th and 11th generation Intel processors , but is not compatible with the Alder Lake series.

The BIOSTAR TZ590-BTC motherboard targets the mid-range market of casual gamers, content creators, and users looking to build an HTPC for casual content consumption. The TZ590-BTC also specializes in cryptocurrency mining with built-in native functionality to support this feature.

A board for both consumers and miners

It's available in a full-ATX form factor and provides a solid feature base for users, with functionalities such as PCIe 4.0 and PCIe M.2 4.0. Its 11-phase power design, controlled by BIOSTAR's signature DIGITAL PWM technology, keeps everything running smoothly and reliably. Four DDR4 RAM slots supporting up to 3600MHz (OC) with a maximum capacity of 128GB make this a high-quality all-purpose motherboard. Eight additional PCIe 3.0 x1 slots are ideal for Bitcoin and Ethereum mining, and a single PCIe 4.0 x16 slot is perfect for installing any graphics card.

It features six SATA III (6Gb/s) connectors in addition to the key M.2 port provided, allowing for plenty of storage options with both hard drives and SSDs. Its comprehensive rear I/O unit contains a single PS/2 keyboard/mouse port for traditional peripheral devices, four USB 3.2 Gen1, and two USB 2.0. It includes a LAN port powered by Intel I219V for fast Internet access without obstacles. It also has a 4K2K HDMI output port and a single VGA output port, along with three audio ports powered by Realtek ALC887 7.1 Channels.
