Bluechip, a German wholesaler, reveals the roadmap of the AMD Z490 and Intel Z390 chipsets
The German wholesaler Bluechip, has published a Roadmap of the new AMD and Intel chipsets, where the AMD Z490 appears for the Ryzen and the Intel Z390, for the Wiskhey Lake.
A few weeks ago a Biostar manual was shown, where the Z390 and Eurocom chipset appeared, a few days later I finish confirming it. As if it was not enough, the German distributor Bluechip, has revealed in a Roadmap where AMD and Intel products appear, the chips of both companies that are yet to come. We have on the one hand the AMD Z490, which is nothing more than the AMD X470 chipset with more PCIe lines and also, the Intel Z390 chipset appears.
This chipset is very important, since it is intended for the 0cho-core Coffee Lake processors, which should arrive next June. It will also be next June when Intel gives a conference during Computex and this is presented or at least, when it is announced and when we begin to know new information, such as its performance, characteristics and perhaps the price range.
The slides also show the arrival of new Ryzen Threadripper processors, which will arrive with Zen + cores, which is nothing more than Zen architecture, but instead of using 14nm lithography, 12nm lithography is used, which will allow an improvement in performance and thus also an increase in efficiency.
It should be noted that this Roadmap marks Computex as a point. The AMD Z490 chipset will be seen on motherboards at Computex and the motherboards with AMD B450 and X399 (Threadripper) chipset will be seen after this event or at least, they will be commercialized later. The Roadmap indicates that Intel's Z390 chipset motherboards will arrive in Q3 2018, later than everyone is saying.
