ASUS has three NVIDIA RTX 2060 models, highlighting the RoG RTX 2060 Strix

Three have been the NVIDIA RTX 2060 models presented by ASUS, highlighting the most advanced model ASUS RoG RTX 2060 Strix

The NVIDIA RTX 2060 was revealed a few hours ago at CES 2019. Shortly after, custom models began to appear that will go on sale next week. ASUS has announced three models. The most powerful is the RoG RTX 2060 Strix, followed by the RTS 2060 Dual, which is much simpler, and the RTX 2060 Phoenix, a mini-ITX model designed for compact gaming systems. Like the rest of the models, it will go on sale next week.

ASUS RoG RTX 2060 Strix

We start with the most powerful model, which makes use of the largest heatsink in the company. It has a triple fan heatsink with a thickness of 2.5 PCIe slots. It has ASUS MaxContact technology that offers a more polished base in direct contact with the GPU that allows heat transfer. It also has a 0dB mode to prevent the fans from running at low load and the fans are IP5X certified, which indicates that they are resistant to dust.

The technical characteristics of CUDA Cores and others are the same as any other RTX 2060, although the working frequencies change. It works at 1395MHz (reference frequency of 1365MHz) and in Boost mode it can reach 1860MHZ (Boost frequency of the reference model of 1680MHz). The reports have not undergone modification in frequency. As video outputs it has two DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0b. Does not include DVI or USB Type-C connector for VR viewers.

ASUS RoG RTX 2060 Dual

As a slightly simpler solution we have the Dual model, which has a shorter PCB. While the PCB is shorter, the thickness is greater than the previous model, occupying 2.7 PCIe slots. It has two Wing Blade type fans, which are the same as those of the RoG Strix, therefore they also have resistance to dust. Apparently it has the same number of video outputs as the Strix but a DVI is added. The working frequencies for this graph have not been disclosed.

Finally we have the mini-ITX graphics designed for extremely compact gaming equipment. This is characterized by having a dual PCIe slot heatsink with an 80mm IP5X fan (the same as the RoG Strix). We see that it opts for two HDMI, a DisplayPort and a DVI
