# CES2019: Many notebooks with AMD Ryzen APUs for entry-level gaming
Table of Contents
Several 'gaming' laptops with AMD Ryzen APUs have been seen during CES 2019, both Ryzen 2000 and the next Ryzen 3000.
The Keynotes of the big three of hardware at CES 2019 have been a chestnut that has contributed rather nothing. Without a doubt, we are seeing the interesting thing after the corresponding talks. In this case we are talking about AMD and the new laptops that have been seen based on AMD Ryzen and AMD Vega. Logically they are based on Ryzen 2000 or Ryzen 3000 APUs. These will offer improvements in performance and autonomy, two aspects that are increasingly linked.
Acer Nitro 5
Acer's solution is this Nitro 5 with a Ryzen 5 2500U processor and RX 560X integrated graphics. It will be accompanied by 8GB DDR4, 256GB of SSD, IPS screen and a backlit keyboard. It seems to be intended for basic gaming with older generation hardware.
Dell Inspiron 5000 15 and Inspiron 5000 14 2-in-1
The first is the Dell Inspiron 5000 15 which has a Ryzen 5 3500U with four cores and eight threads accompanied by a Vega 8 of 8 Compute Units. It can have up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 1TB HDD. This laptop has a 15-inch screen in a rather curious hardware configuration.
Next we have the Dell Inspiron 5000 14 2 in 1 that has a Ryzen 7 3700U that also has four cores and eight threads, but in this case it has Vega 10 graphics with 10 Compute Units. It will be equipped with 16GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD and a 2TB HDD. It has a 14-inch screen and although it has more processor than the Inspiron 5000 15, it has less RAM and SSD.
(Note: they couldn't be worse compensated)
ASUS TuF Gaming FX505DY
Straddling mid-range and entry-level gaming we have this laptop with the Ryzen 5 3550H quad-core and eight-thread with a TDP of 35W. This processor is accompanied by an RX 560X, 16GB DDR4 and a 512GB SSD.
samsung book 7
This Samsung laptop based on the Ryzen 5 2200U with two cores and four threads is neither cold nor damp, accompanied by a Vega 3 with 3 Compute Units. It is accompanied by 8GB DDR4 and a 128GB SSD. Intended for entry-level casual gaming and little else.
Honor MagicBook
It seems that everyone is aiming to make laptops. The Honor company presents this MagicBook with a Ryzen 5 250U quad-core and eight threads with Vega 8 graphics with 8 Compute Units. It will be accompanied by 8GB DDR4 and a 256GB NVMe SSD. Another mid-range gaming laptop that is neither hot nor cold.
Lenovo Yoga 530
14 inch laptop that is based on the Ryzen 3 2200U processor. This processor allows you to configure the TDP from 12W to 25W and will be accompanied by a Vega 3 graph with 3 Compute Units. It has 4GB DDR4 and a 128GB SSD. We are talking about an extremely simple laptop.
Two HP Chromebooks
Finally we have two quite discreet HP Chromebook laptops. One will go with the APU A6 9220C @ 2.7GHz and Radeon 5 graphics and the other with the APU A4 9120C @ 2.6GHz with Radeon 4 graphics. The two models are Excavator architecture and are designed for office automation and navigation period.
