Intel's Core i9-9900KS will have its 8 cores operating at 5.0GHz in Boost mode

Other small data are released about the Intel Core i9-9900KS, which will have all cores operating at a Boost frequency of 5.0GHz.

We were quite surprised by Intel's tweet regarding the Core i9-9900KS, about which we had no new data. Some media are already at Computex 2019 and among them is ServerTheHome, who has published more data. We know that this processor will have 8 cores and 16 processing threads, the same as the current Core i9-9900K. But there will be some differences in this regard.

Intel Core i9-9900KS first data

The first difference is that the Core i9-9900K operates at a base frequency of 3.6GHz, while the new Core i9-9900KS will operate at a 4.0GHz base frequency. There are also changes in the Boost frequencies. The Core i9-9900K reaches 5.0GHz only on one of its cores, while the Core i9-9900KS will reach 5.0GHz on all cores.

There are still no benchmarks on this processor and this medium has not had access to them either. Although they have shown an image of the processor at full load, there is no performance data.

Something Intel has said about it is that this processor is a special edition, not a limited edition processor. This will allow the price not to be as high as if it were a limited processor. The company has confirmed that the Core i9-9900KS will arrive with the iGPU disabled, we assume that to control the TDP of the processor.

This is all we know about this processor. It is certainly not a crazy idea, considering the data that we know. And it is that a few hours ago we published the data of sales of processors in Spain by Intel. Almost 25% of processors sold in our country they are the i9-9900K which is around € 480. Intel's high-end range is the best-seller in our country, while AMD's mid-range is the preferred one. The entry-level range at Intel and AMD seems to be of no interest to anyone.
