Manufacturer Corsair has unveiled its next-generation Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5 memory kits to the world. They will be the next flagship modules of the memory manufacturer and the first of the manufacturer for the DD5 format
Corsair is not making major changes to the design of its next-generation Dominator Platinum DDR5 modules. The main changes will come in the PCB layout, which you can already see something underneath the heatsink. The memory modules will feature at least 8 DDR5 ICs that will run at speeds of up to 6400 Mbps initially and will scale as the new memory standard is developed.
Corsair also targets DDR5 memory
Speaking of design, the Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR5 memory modules will sport the same black look as usual for the manufacturer's memory, and will feature the patented Dual-Path DHX cooling technology that vibrates a high-end heatsink along with 12 ultra-bright, fully addressable CAPELLIX RGB LEDs.
The memory modules in DDR5 format that Corsair will bring could also come in white colors, although this color model has not been confirmed. Corsair will also offer RGB support with its iCUE software suite, while XMP 3.0 will allow storing overclocked profiles for a series of QVL-compatible Intel 600 series motherboards.
Previously, Corsair also showcased its Vengeance-series DDR5 kits that offer a more conventional design and low-profile heat sink. Corsair hasn't shared any specifications for its memory modules, but previously the company confirmed that its memory modules will be able to hit DDR5-6400 speeds initially, offering up to 51GB / s of bandwidth. Thus, Corsair is already preparing the arrival of its DDR5 memories to provide enthusiasts with more options.
