CORSAIR wants to make it easier to build PCs with its iCUE LINK components
The CORSAIR brand, known for manufacturing high-performance components and systems for gamers, content creators, and PC enthusiasts; today announced its entry into a new era in intelligent, self-contained and simplified PC building. It has announced the presentation of the iCUE LINK ecosystem of smart components.
These iCUE LINK components will change the way experienced PC builders and newcomers alike design their next PCs. This is thanks to patent-pending single-cable technology that will reduce the assembly and configuration time of a new high-performance PC by up to 50%.
A proprietary CORSAIR iCUE LINK cable will improve PC building
That CORSAIR iCUE LINK cable is the one that will dramatically improve PC cable organization, according to CORSAIR. With this they hope that the tangles of cables, the connection hubs, the PWM and RGB splitters that clutter the chassis will end. All this thanks to the simplicity of a single connection cable.
A microcontroller embedded in each CORSAIR iCUE LINK component acts as a "brain" that communicates with the System Hub. With a wide range of products like fans, AIO coolers, custom cooling components and much more, iCUE LINK makes building a PC fast, easy and clean. All iCUE LINK devices can be daisy chained to the System Hub, device to device. With these reversible universal connectors, there's no more fumbling through mounting cables to find the right cable, splitter or adapter.
The first wave of CORSAIR iCUE LINK products will launch in June 2023. It will include all-new fans and AIO coolers, as well as the System Hub itself. The QX120 and QX140 RGB fans will be the world's first fully digitally controlled fans, equipped with a proprietary magnetic dome bearing, a digital temperature sensor, and quad RGB lighting loops . The new iCUE LINK RGB series of high-performance liquid CPU coolers features lighting and hidden cabling for a clean, uncluttered look.
In the third quarter of this year, the range of Hydro X Series custom cooling products compatible with iCUE LINK will be expanded. This expansion will include CPU Blocks, GPU Blocks, and Bomb and Tank Packs. CORSAIR expects to introduce many more products into the new ecosystem on a regular basis.
