M.2 NVMe Corsair MP510 4TB Drive Announced

As it makes use of the PCI Express 3.0 interface, its speeds, as we can see, are more modest than in PCI Express 4.0. The reality is that PCI Express Gen4 drives have not stood out in the market for their high price. So it makes sense to base the Corsair MP510 4TB drive on the PCIe 3.0 interface.

Although the read and write speeds are very good, the ones that stand out are the 4K write speeds. This Corsair MP510 4TB drive offers us a 4K random read speed of 580.000 IOPS and up to 680.000 IOPS for 4K random write.

Corsair MP510 2TB hard drive It offers us a writing speed of 2.700MB / s (3.000MB / s for the 4TB version). For 4K random reading it offers us 530.000IOPS (580.000 IOPS for the 4TB version) and for 4k random writing it offers us 458.000 IOPS (680.000 IOPS for the 4TB version). We can say that the new Corsair M.2 SSD will offer us a performance improvement.

Highlight, to finish, the M.2 Corsair MP510 4TB offers a durability of 6820TB writings. It is based on the PCI Express 3.0 x4 interface and comes in an M.2 2280 format. The price or release date of this unit has not been disclosed, but the 2TB unit costs around 390 euros. The logical thing would be for it to double the price, ranging between 750-800 euros.
