Loongson 3A4000 CPU will be sold in a mini-pc for 400 euros

Chinese manufacturers offer us the option of an inexpensive low-power pc with the Loongson 3A4000 CPU. There are several models available.

In China, the Fulong 2.0 Mini-PC can already be found for sale. It is a pre-assembled computer model designed to have low consumption and a very small size. This one stands out for making use of the Loongson Technology Dragoncore 3A4000 processor.

Low-power computer powered by Loongson CPU

According to the data of its components, they have 4 cores at a dynamic speed of 1.40 / 1.80 GHz. It works under the GS464V architecture with a 28nm Fully Depleted Silicon On Insulator manufacturing process by STMicroelectronics for the FCBGA-1211 socket.

From what has been seen, in terms of performance it is the same in IPC as the 28 nanometer AMD Excavator microarchitecture used in AMD FX processors. It includes integrated graphics and the Dragoncore 7A1000 chipset is supported. As we see, a model more designed for low consumption and being affordable rather than high power for games. It would be an ideal model for offices or to have a second computer dedicated entirely to office work at home for the teleworking.
