Using a processor for gaming or any other task without a heatsink is insane. The heatsink is necessary to efficiently dissipate the heat generated by the processor. But a group of crazy people have tested the AMD Ryzen 3 4300U processor without a heatsink, and it works. But the craziest thing of all is that it ran Crysis for 10 minutes.
If something is characterized by Crysis, it is because it is a heavy and highly demanding game, even for modern hardware. But they've managed to move it into the heatsinkless Ryzen 3 4300U, which is already a milestone. The processor internally was at a temperature of 92ºC, while the DIE was around 78-79ºC, which is not bad.

Doing it has not been easy, since this processor is integrated into a laptop, so they have had to figure it out. The laptop had to be turned around, so getting the Crysis and the other tests to run has had an extra difficulty. It should be noted that in the upper right corner there is a 12cm fan that seems to blow air at the processor. It's not a big deal, but it sure has helped control the temperature.
This Ryzen 3 4300U processor has 4 cores and 4 threads working at a base frequency of 2.7GHz and that can reach 3.7GHz in Boost mode. It also has 6MB of cache and a Vega 5 with 320 Stream Processors @ 1.4GHz with a TDP of 15W.
In addition to running Crysis, the Cinebench R15 benchmark tool has been run. Also without a heatsink on the Ryzen 3 4300U, it has scored 124 points in single core and 327 points in multicore. Under the 3DMark Time Spy, under the same conditions, it gets 1262 points in CPU and 353 points in GPU.
The highlight of this test is that the processor is highly efficient and withstands some complicated tests. We see how you can adjust the frequencies well to continue working despite not having a heatsink. This makes us think that it is a simple processor to cool and a great option on the market.
