ASUS Intel 700 and 600 motherboards now support 5GB DDR7000-48 modules

ASUS today announced a series of BIOS updates for its Intel 700 and 600 series motherboards in collaboration with manufacturer Corsair. With these updates, motherboards from the above series will now support up to 192GB combinations of DDR5 memory and the
new Corsair Vengeance DDR5 48GB (2 x 24GB) 7000 MT/s modules.

As the market for DDR5 RAM matures, which debuted just over a year ago, it's harder for enthusiasts to ignore the performance potential of next-generation DDR5 memory. Now, with this latest BIOS update, DDR5-compatible ASUS motherboards become even better options for the best-performing PC possible.

Better DDR5 on abse ASUS motherboards is now possible

The entire selection of ASUS motherboards of the 700 and 600 series is now compatible with the latest 5 and 24 GB DDR48 memory modules. In order to verify this, the manufacturer has put Corsair's upcoming 2GB 24-unit memory kits through extensive tests to ensure that the entire motherboard range supports DDR5 RAM modules up to 48GB at 7000 MT/s.

This applies to both a toe motherboard Z790 ready for high-performance overclocking, like in the affordable, feature-packed B760 option. These plates and all the ones in between can be combined with a DDR5 memory kit offering a better combination of capacity and raw speed.

Why want even more RAM and bandwidth? It is widely joked that you can cram more tabs into the browser, and while it is true and that with 16 GB of RAM it takes a lot of tabs to get bogged down, many users can take advantage of more high-bandwidth RAM. Some games can ask for more than 16GB of RAM on their own, not counting apps that users prefer to leave running in the background like Discord, or a browser tab with Yoptube videos, or Spotify apps for listen to podcasts.Creative professionals like video editors, architects, product designers, 3D modelers, Twitch streamers, engineers, data scientists and many more will benefit in their workloads from having more memory.

This new generation of memory kits also offers better scaling for today's CPUs, increased bandwidth, and efficiency improvements. And they do it without affecting the overall latency of the system. Upcoming DDR5 memory modules from manufacturers like Corsair will have massive amounts of memory capacity and blazing fast data transfer speeds. The 16GB maximum will soon be passed and Corsair Vengeance 5GB DDR7000-48 models (2 x 24GB modules) will be supported for up to 48GB of 5 MT/s DDR7000 RAM. They future kits like the Corsair
Vengeance 192 GB (4 x 48 GB modules) DDR5 will offer a data rate of 5600 MT/s.
