Dell lists the XPS 13 2-in-1 with 10nm Intel Ice Lake processors for $999.99 starting

Now available the new Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 7390, which is based on Intel Core Ice Lake processors manufactured in 10nm lithography.

It wasn't clear when Intel's Ice Lake processors for laptops would become available. Dell has been the first to release a device based on Intel's 10th Generation processors. The company has listed the Dell XPS 12 2-in-1 7390 on its website , which features Core i3/i5/i7 processors. These processors offer improved battery life and performance thanks to their 10nm architecture.

This Dell computer features a silver or black aluminum body which has been CNC machined. It has a 13.4-inch screen with InfinityEdge vials 7% larger than the previous model. It will have two LCD panels, one with 1920 × 1080 pixels and the other with 3840 × 2400 pixels. The display has 500 nits of brightness, 1500: 1 or 18001 contrast ratio, 16:10 aspect ratio, and Dolby Vision FHD + or 90% DCI-P3 on the UHD + SKU.

The power is provided by the Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 processors that are soldered to the motherboard. These processors are more thermally efficient and consume less, allowing to reduce the heat dissipation system and increase autonomy. Thanks to this Dell has managed to reduce the dimensions of the system by 7%, increasing the size of the keyboard and screen.

To dissipate the processor they have created a new cooling system based on two fans. These are fixed on a very thin steam chamber and a GORE thermal insulation that guarantees brutal performance even under high workloads.

Said Dell equipment can go up to 32GB LPDDR4X @ 3733MHz soldered on the motherboard. It allows up to 1TB of capacity in formed PCIe SSD. The connectivity is in charge of the Killer AX1650 that offers WiFi 6 + Bluetooth.

Regarding connectors, it has two Thunderbolt 3 ports, microSD card reader, 3.5mm connector for headphones and other connectors. It has multimedia capacity, high-quality speakers, microphone and webcam in the upper area of the screen.

It has a weight of 1.32 kilograms of base, which can increase slightly depending on the hardware we want. The battery of this Dell computer is 51Wh with an autonomy of 16 hours. This team has a starting price of $ 999.99.
