18% of studios are already creating games for future Sony and Microsoft consoles

It seems that at least 18% of studios are already developing games for the upcoming Sony and Microsoft consoles.

The next generation of consoles from Sony and Microsoft is a complete mystery. Microsoft has not officially confirmed its console, but Sony has said on several occasions to work on the development of the PlayStation 5. Despite all this silence, some of the developers are already working on next-generation consoles. Some suggest that they could be announced at the end of the year and that they could hit the market sometime in 2020.

According to what has been revealed at least 18 percent of the studios, they would be developing games for the new consoles from Sony and Microsoft. They have highlighted that only 2% of the titles will be exclusive. With this, it would be sought that users choose to buy one of these consoles. In case the two consoles arrive the same year, the exclusive titles will be quite decisive.

Currently the PlayStation 4 is the best-selling console of this generation of consoles, with more than 90 million units sold. According to some analysts, it should exceed 100 million units sold shortly. These figures are possible thanks to the number of exclusive titles for this platform. Microsoft with the slogan "the most powerful console in the world" for the Xbox One X has been of absolutely no use. It is clear that users prefer quality and exclusivity, before other parameters such as graphic quality.

One of the most relevant exclusive titles has been the remake of Final Fantasy VII, which was presented in mid-2015. The game has momentary exclusivity on the PlayStation 4, but it does not yet have a release date. It seems clear that in the end they have delayed the game for the next generation of consoles, due to the significant weight in the games industry.
