The TDP of the new Intel processors will be up to 125W
Intel's problem with 14nm isn't so much that demand far exceeds production capacity, but rather power consumption. AMD's new 7nm processors have more cores and are more energy efficient. But now the TDP of the new Comet Lake-S processors has been revealed , and it's starting to pose a significant problem. The 'K' series processors will have a TDP of 125W.
Such a high TDP is a major problem in terms of heat dissipation. For these processors we will have to opt for high capacity heatsinks such as the Noctua or Cryorig more beasts or jump to the RL AiO. Intel for its control has added a frequency limiting option that reduces the TDP to 95W.

As higher-end processors we have the Intel Core i9-10900K that will have 10 cores and 20 threads. Its frequencies have not been revealed, but as the number of cores increases, it is difficult for it to go beyond 4.5GHz. The company indicates that these processors could improve multi-core performance by 18% over Coffee Lake
We know that Intel has opted to return HyperThreading in this new family of processors. The Core i7-10700K will have 8 cores and 16 threads and the Core i5-10600K will have 6 cores and 12 threads. The three processors of the 'K' family will have a TDP of 125W.
And if these new processors are compared with the latest AMD Ryzen, Intel's problem is evident. The Ryzen 9 3950X with 16 cores and 32 threads that goes up to 4.7GHz, we have a TDP of 105W. It is evident that they are more energy efficient, as well as more powerful.
Note that these new Intel processors would be in 14nm but based on 10nm lithography. A rather curious solution from Intel that we will see how it comes out, but things do not look very good.
