NVDIA GTX 1630 specs leaked

Yesterday rumors of a possible NVIDIA GTX 1630 began to surface, which would be a very low-end card for laggard users who simply want a cheap graphics card with specifications that are limited to meeting the basics. The latter is understood as costing less than $200. It would be a response to the AMD Radeon RX 6400, and its specifications have already come out.

Leaked specifications claim that the GeForce GTX 1630 will use Nvidia's TU117 silicon. This is the smallest Turing die, and Nvidia has used variants for its other SKUs, such as the GeForce GTX 1650 or GeForce MX550.

This would be the next low-end NVIDIA card

The TU117 would have 16 streaming multiprocessors, equivalent to 1.024 CUDA cores. By comparison, the GTX 1650 has 14 SMs which means the GeForce GTX 1630 will have far fewer. the VideoCardz portal states that the GeForce GTX 1630 only comes with 8 SM or 512 CUDA cores. That's precisely half of what the TU117 offers and 43% less than what the GeForce GTX 1650 has.

The GeForce GTX 1630 could have a boost clock speed of 1.800 MHz. Early reviews showed that the Radeon RX 6400 was on par with the GeForce GTX 1650 in terms of performance. understandably the GTX 1630 is slower. The big question will be how much slower, because the GTX 1650 and RX 6400 already suffer a bit with leading games like Elden Ring.

The rest of the leaked specifications of the GTX 1650, it is expected that it will have 4 GB of GDDR6 memory at 12 Gbps, which is an increase in efficiency, but it will be limited by its bandwidth and memory capacity. It will most likely be limited to a 64-bit interface for up to 96 Gbps memory bandwidth, which is 25% less than the GeForce GTX 1650. Comparing the GeForce GTX 1630 to GDDR6 alternatives, it has 50% less memory bandwidth.

Despite having fewer CUDA cores, the GeForce GTX 1630 can maintain the same 75W TDP as the GeForce GTX 1650. The extra headroom is probably why the GeForce GTX 1630 could feature higher boost clock speeds. tall. The exact price of the GeForce GTX 1630 is still up in the air, but the Turing-based graphics card is likely to be priced under $150. to give it a considerable economic attractiveness facing that public that is very sensitive to price.
