NVIDIA reveals final specs for the RTX 3060

A few days ago NVIDIA announced the next arrival of the RTX 3060 without more data and without specifications. Finally the company indicates that this graphics card will arrive on February 25. They have revealed both CUDA Coressuch as frequencies and the amount of VRAM. One of the most interesting aspects is that a power supply of at least 550W is recommended.

The first thing that strikes you about the specs of the RTX 3060 is that it will have 3584 CUDA Cores. They are far fewer than those offered by the RTX 3060 Ti, which offers 4864 CUDA Cores. They are also less than the RTX 3060 Mobile, which offers 3840 CUDA Cores. The interesting thing about this RTX 3060 is that it comes with 12GB GDDR6 with a 192-bit memory bus, while the RTX 3060 Mobile only offers 6GB GDDR6.

In addition, this RTX 3060 graphics card comes with a total of 112 Tensor Cores and 28 RT Cores, which is not bad at all. This graph will work at a base frequency of 1320MHz and it will be able to reach 1780MHz in Boost mode. The TDP of this graphics card will be 170W.

A relevant aspect of this graphic is that there will be no Founders Edition model. This means that we will only have RTX 3060 versions of the different assemblers that work with NVIDIA.

Will there be stock problems with this new chart?

Although it is premature to talk about stock problems with the RTX 3060, everything indicates that these problems will exist. It will be quite difficult to acquire these new graphics cards, as already happens with the rest of the models.

The factors that mainly influence the lack of stock is COVID and cryptocurrency mining. Due to the period that the factories have not operated at full capacity or that they have had to stop, there is a lack of stock. Currently with the rise of Bitcoin, the mining of cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum has grown a lot. By simply requiring graphics cards, there has been a massive purchase of graphics cards and the lack of stock.
