EVGA NVLink, the new bridge that allows interconnecting two NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards
The EVGA NVLink bridge is introduced, which allows two graphics cards to be interconnected, making the two work as a single graphics card.
The arrival of the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards brings with it several technological innovations, one of the most significant being NVLink technology, which allows for the interconnection of just two graphics cards. This technology relegates SLI , which has been around for many years but was quite outdated for new-generation graphics cards. Until now, we haven't seen any NVLink configurations because the necessary bridges are apparently not commercially available, but EVGA addresses this with its own solution.

We can see how EVGA, one of the most important graphics card manufacturers on the market that allows the interconnection of two RTX 2080 or RTX 2080 Ti graphics that have the purpose of doubling (practically) the performance of the graphics cards that allows the two GPUs and the memories of the two GPUs work as if they were from a single graphic.
This EVGA bridge has an aggressive design for the gaming sector that even has RGB LED lighting that will add a touch of customization but that does not add anything at all. Its design resembles that developed by NVIDIA but with a more aggressive touch.
NVLink is a cable-based communication protocol that enables short-range communication developed by NVIDIA useful for data transfer and control of CPU and GPU systems and between two GPUs.
Through this type of connection, data speeds of 25Gbit / s can be achieved through the data lane for each of the directions. They are currently intended for high performance and it should be noted that this technology was first introduced in March 2014.
