Potential Intel Raptor Lake Release Plans Leaked

Alleged release plans for Intel's 13th Gen Core 'Raptor Lake' processors have reportedly been shared online by leaker @wxnod. The slide, which complies with Intel's style guide, is titled "RPL Online GTM Plan«. RPL is easily identified as «raptor lake", while GTM would be short for 'go to market'.

The biggest dates that have been seen on said slide with the Raptor Lake release plans would be September 28th and October 10th. First, the September 28 (just one day after the release of the AMD Ryzen 7000) would be the launch of the first Raptor Lake CPUs, the ones with the suffix "K" and designed for overclocking. That would give them a launch with higher scoring benchmarks. On the other hand, the October 10 it would be for the launch of the first salvo of normal 13th generation Core processors.

This would be Intel's plans with Raptor Lake

If the leaked slide is true, Intel will be rolling out marketing materials to partners and media outlets between September 15 and September 28. The first major consumer-facing date would be September 28, when the 13th Gen Intel Core processors are introduced. These are expected to be the trio of unlocked “K” processors, which are the Core i9-13900K, i7-13700K, and i5-13600K. Pre-orders for the Core i9-13900K are reportedly scheduled to begin on September 28.

The next significant date in the table is the October 13On this date, Intel and its partners will open pre-orders for the unlocked multiplier Core i7 and i5 chips with the “K” suffix. A week later, the October 20, all three Raptor Lake chips with the “K” suffix would be available in stores. Motherboards will also be ready around that time, and reviews and benchmarks will be published on the same day.

The last part of the leaked slide talks about driving sales, promotional activity with packages, and partnerships. It also talks about ensuring that stocks are well distributed. For users with smaller budgets but wanting to deploy Raptor Lake, Non-K Processors, Mobile Processors, and other Raptor Lake products on their PCs they should appear at CES 2023 early next year. The plan seems to be to release the “K” processors with unlocked power earlier and thus, with the benchmarks, start the generation with higher benchmarks, seeing that AMD is aiming for the same with its Ryzen 7000.
