Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 20GB leaks

Shortly after the release of the NVIDA GeFoxce RTX 3080 Ti GPU a few months ago, there have been rumors that a 20GB variant is in the works. A firmware update and YouTube video would confirm the existence of a 20GB version.

The firmware for an unannounced GeForce RTx 3080 Ti 20GB was recently uploaded to TechPowerUp, and corresponds to the Gigabyte Aorus GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Xtreme (GV-N308TAORUS X-20GD). The device ID for the regular GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is 10DE 2208 and the 20GB version carries the identifier 10DE 2205 and therefore it is assumed that they are not the same graphics card.

A more vitaminized version of the 3080 Ti is about to be announced

The only difference between the two GeForce RTX 3080 Ti models that has been reported based on that firmware is the amount of GDDR6X memory. The new variant has 20 GB of GDDR6X memory, 67% more than the vanilla version. On the other hand, the memory clock speed remains intact. The GeForce RTX 3080 T also uses 6Gbps GDDR19X memory, but the 20GB model features a smaller memory interface.

Based on CPU-Z, a 320-bit memory bus is shown on the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 20GB instead of a 384-bit interface on the 12GB SKU. Although it has more memory, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 20GB offers lower memory bandwidth. The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is good for 912 GBps jobs, but the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 20GB is limited to 760 GBps. Everything indicates that it is a model designed for cryptocurrency miners, and it does not seem that it has been assigned to the LHR series with which the mining capacity is limited, given that it has a hash rate of up to 94.04 MH / s in Ethereum.

The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 20GB has already been seen on sale in Russia, and is expected to reach American retailers. You cannot speculate on the price since such a model is the meat of bots of buyers and resellers.
