Leaked AMD Navi 24 GPU that could be the RX 6500 XT in January
AMD's supposed Navi 24 GPU, which is supposed to be the basis for the Radeon RX 6500 XT and RX 6400 desktop graphics cards, could have been seen in pictures. The image of the supposed Navi 24 chip has been published by the VideoCardz portal.
The image alone, if true, would tell us a lot about its specs, such as that it has 16 GPU clusters with 64 stream processors each, for a total of 1.024 shader units as a maximum configuration. This is consistent with previous rumors of its specifications.
Possible AMD Navi 24 leak
The AMD Navi 24 is the lowest-end Navi GPU, which will be the basis for some low-cost graphics cards with desktop and laptop versions. It will also be the first RDNA 2 platform offering to be built using the 6nm process. It is supposed to have 16MB of Infinity cache as standard.
The VideoCardz protal has also stated that the RX 6500 XT graphics card is believed to be released on January 19 and the RX 6400 will follow at some point. They didn't give any possible release month. What they did comment on is that the RX 6400 graphics will be destined for OEMs, which means that the graphics card will be present in pre-built computers, and that this inexpensive GPU will not be able to be purchased independently at its launch.
It is very likely that all this will be confirmed or denied around CES 2022. Although almost all technology companies are canceling their participation, they will always be able to deliver the announcements in a digital format. This series of budget-end gaming graphics cards would be a great advertisement for laggard consumers who want to upgrade their PC, if they don't mind that you can't move games at the highest quality and just want to keep playing 1080p with better optimization and effects.
